Renewal & budget assumptions
Simple methodExpected enrollment = eligible employees × enrollment rate. Coverage-tier enrollment is allocated using the entered tier mix; if the mix does not total 100%, the calculator normalizes it proportionally. Employer premium contribution = enrolled members × monthly premium × employer contribution percentage × 12. Administration is added separately. Renewal years grow premiums, enrollment and administration costs independently.

Advanced methodEach group calculates expected enrollment from eligible employees and participation. Employer premium contribution equals the lesser of premium × employer contribution percentage or the entered monthly employer cap when a cap is greater than zero. HSA/HRA funding and administration are added per enrolled employee. Future years grow headcount, premiums and administration costs and adjust each group's participation using the entered annual participation change.
