Lost productivity
Simple methodDaily loaded labor value = salary × (1 + employer burden) ÷ workdays/year. Vacancy loss applies that daily value to the entered vacancy-loss percentage and vacancy days. Ramp-up loss applies the ramp productivity-loss percentage to the replacement's ramp-up days.

Vacancy & ramp productivity
Training & manager time
Advanced methodExpected annual departures = headcount × turnover rate for each group. Vacancy and ramp losses are based on each group's loaded daily labor value. Training, manager time, recruiting, separation, setup and vacancy-coverage costs are added per expected replacement. Fractional expected departures are preserved for annual budgeting rather than rounded to whole people.

Scope
Turnover cost is an operational estimate
Actual turnover cost varies by role, labor market, recruiting channel, severance, overtime coverage, benefits, training design and how quickly productivity is restored. This tool treats loaded labor value as a proxy for productivity cost and does not attempt to quantify customer churn, institutional knowledge loss, morale effects or legal liabilities unless you separately include them in your assumptions.
