Lead Response-Time Cost Calculator
Estimate how much revenue and contribution profit may be lost when inbound leads wait longer for follow-up, then compare that loss with the cost of responding faster.

Customer economics & improvement cost
Simple methodPotentially lost customers = leads × (target conversion − current conversion). Recovered revenue and gross profit are then compared with the entered cost of faster follow-up. The calculator uses your conversion assumptions rather than imposing a universal response-time benchmark.

Targets
Advanced modelCurrent customers = leads × current contact rate × current close rate. Target customers use the target contact and close rates. The difference is treated as the potential customer and revenue loss associated with the slower-response scenario. Response-time sensitivity interpolates between your current and target funnel assumptions rather than using a third-party benchmark.

Scope
Response speed is one part of lead conversion
This calculator estimates the financial difference between user-supplied current and target follow-up scenarios. It does not claim that response time alone causes the entire conversion difference. Lead source, intent, sales skill, qualification rules, business hours, channel, pricing, seasonality and marketing mix can also change contact and close rates. Use historical CRM data or controlled tests where possible, and treat the output as a planning estimate of potentially recoverable revenue rather than guaranteed revenue.
